Bell times

Our school day has a clear and predictable structure, with dedicated time for learning, play, eating and breaks. Consistent routines help students know what to expect and support them to be ready to learn throughout the day.

Arriving at school on time helps students start the day ready to learn. Being in class from the beginning of the morning learning session means students don't miss important learning, instructions or opportunities to settle into the day with their classmates.

Our bell times

Playground supervision

Teacher supervision begins at 8:30am each morning. Students should not arrive at school before this time, as there is no playground supervision before 8:30am. Students should arrive in time for the school day to begin at 9:00am.

Teacher supervision concludes at 3:00pm when the school day ends.

Late arrival and early collection

Students who arrive after the morning bell must report to the front office to collect a late slip before going to class.

If a parent or carer needs to collect a student before the end of the school day, they should report to the front office.

School gates are locked between 9:00am and 3:00pm. Parents and carers who need to enter the school during this time should use the Auburn Street entrance and contact the school office on 4229 1117 to gain access.

_{^{Applying for extended leave?}}

If your child will be absent from school for five or more school days due to travel, please contact the school to request an application, or download the application below and return the completed form by email to coniston-p.school@det.nsw.edu.au.

Where possible, applications should be submitted well in advance of the planned travel so the required paperwork can be completed. If the application is approved, the school will issue a Certificate of extended leave – travel.

Please note: Absences for travel that have not been approved as extended leave may be recorded as unjustified.
