Parents and Citizens

The P&C (Parents & Citizens Association) at Coniston Public School consists of parents, teachers and other interested parties who care about our children's education.

What do the P&C do? 

Our broad role is to: 

  • Facilitate co-operation between parents and the School 
  • Foster opportunities for parent participation in the School in a wide range of activities 
  • Encourgae parent input on issues including the curriculum and other education areas annd to maintain an open dialogue with the School. 

The P&C also provides the School with much needed additional resources through our fundraising activities.

P&C Meetings

Our meetings are held at 7pm on Monday of Weeks 3 and 7 each term. You may attend the meeting in person or online via Zoom (link sent via Enews). If you choose to come onsite, the meeting is held in our Library; entry is via the Auburn St gate.

 

There are 2 ways to be involved with the P&C:

1. You can be a financial member which gives you voting rights at meetings. You will need to pay $1 as an annual membership and abide by the constitution of the P&C association.  

OR

2. You can join the mailing list. This is free and you're welcome at meetings, but you won't be able to vote.  

In order to show your interest, please complete this form and choose the relevant option. Please drop a $1 to the school office in a labelled envelope if you wish to be a financial member. 

If you prefer to use a paper form, please collect and return a form via the school office. 

Please also note that all parents who visit on site to volunteer are required to complete a volunteer declaration and show photo ID to the school office.  
You can complete this form online and then print and present to the office, or complete a paper copy at the school office.
